If You Liked The Cupcakes...
You should see her cheesecakes!

Where to start... oh where to start.... sigh.

...and we are talking cheesecakes worth dying over!

Today Darla and Jodi hosted Rachel's wedding shower~ brunch. Darla made the most yummy pesto and chicken filled croissants along with her famous broccoli salad. (My favorite salad of all time. I am going to post the recipes for all the brunch dishes. Not sure Jodi is sharing her cheesecake recipe's.)
May I just exclaim now, Oh my!?

If you thought the cupcakes Jodi made for Katie's open house were incredible, take a peek at these cheesecakes that she created to make Rachel feel so special today. I felt and actually acted like a little kid in a candy shop. Walking around "oooing and ahhhing" at the delectable desserts. I just didn't know where to start.

Who wouldn't feel special with masterpieces like Pink Lemonade cheesecake, adorned with lacy filigree and chocolate polka dot initials. A two layered true, not to sweet chocolate, and creamy cheesecake topped with a beautiful mouth watering chocolate transfer complete with the sweet swirls the name implies. My favorite? White Chocolate cheesecake with fresh raspberries. Do you think you can keep your mouth from not watering? What I really want to know is this... Jodi, will you share these recipes? Oh YUM!

Do you think Jodi would wince if she knew I had three full servings?
A piece of each cheesecake? Maybe she didn't notice!

Darla made sure Rachel was all decked out as the party girl. Complete with a HUGE over the top enameled "D" to wear around her neck. In honor of Dustin.

Susie, Darla, Rachel, & Annelise

Some of Rachel's closest friends, teachers, neighbors, and even her awesome employer came to share in her bridal bliss.

Rachel with Kristen, her employer. Kristen has told Rachel
and me several times how much she is going to miss having
Rachel as nanny to her three young children. This is the job
that I will take over from September until December.

Susie with Susan, our sweet next door neighbor.

Everyone who came today, I think, had a great time, but no one had a better time than Rachel giving Annelise devil horns. Get a load of that face she is making. Poor Annelise! She puts up with it from on top and below. Both Rachel and Susan are always teasing. Annelise is no match for their quick wit... and that's a good thing. I don't think I could take FOUR smart a.s.s. girls. That's all right though, I wouldn't want them to be anything other than who they really are! I love my daughters truly. (Elijah too...but this is a "girly" post per se.)

Thank you Darla and Jodi. I love you two so much. I am always amazed at how much Jodi sacrifices to make these beautiful creations for my daughters. The work that always goes into these events is quite time consuming and I am at a loss of words as to how Jodi manages to make it all seem effortless.
